T-Mobile’s REVVL: A Game Changer among Budget Phones

Recently, T-Mobile has come out with a bang! Not with a new plan or new service, but with its own branded mobile phone – REVVL. This is the first ever branded smartphone released by the third largest government cell phone service provider of the US.

There is a lot going on after the release of the amazing budget phone REVVL as the phone seems like a total win. Along with key specs, the revolutionary fingerprint lock, and budget prices, REVVL already seems like tough competition for high-priced flagship phones.

As the free cell phone service provider has mentioned, T-Mobile’s REVVL is about how to keep your phone under budget and not about how much more you can spend on a basic technological need.

REVVL: All you need to know

The basic features of REVVL include a 5.5” HD Display, 32 GB of storage, 2 GB RAM, and cameras including 13 MP primary and a 5 MP Selfie shooter. Other than these features, the latest feature that you can see in this phone is the fingerprint sensor at the back which is a rare sight in budget smartphones.

With these features and a 3,000 mAh battery, the government cell phone service provider is surely trying to stand out as the prices at which the phone is offered are quite affordable.
The phone runs on Android Nougat and is available through T-Mobile with an offer of $5 per month without any down payment, if the customer gets the JUMP! On Demand plan of the free cell phone provider.

The other option of getting the phone is with a straight payment of $125.

With the launch of the phone, T-Mobile has also made certain amendments in its JUMP! On Demand plan – a plan that allows customers to upgrade their devices. These amendments are made in order to allow subscribers to switch to budget phones too, instead of only going for the high-priced ones.
Now, with the JUMP! On Demand plan, the available devices will be called the ‘SmartPicks’. These smartphones include REVVL, LG Aristo, LG K20 Plus, ZTE ZMAX Pro, and Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime.

According to Mike Sievert, the COO of T-Mobile, “Not everyone walks into a T-Mobile store and wants the latest flagship. In a world where new phone prices go up year after year, many of our customers are looking for ways to keep up with the Joneses – in terms of features – without needing to keep up with the Kardashians – in terms of how much they spend.”

“Lucky for them, some of today’s most affordable phones have features once available only on the latest flagships. We’re seeing budget-friendly phones today that are practically identical to flagships from just a couple years ago. Gorgeous screens, great cameras on the front and back, and plenty of memory and power to run the most popular apps. That’s exactly what many of our customers – who tell us they want a boatload of features without spending a boatload – are looking for.” He added.
These words by the government cell phone service provider’s COO are directed towards the high-priced smartphones from Samsung and Apple. Especially the upcoming iPhone 8 which is supposed to be priced at $1000.

In a Nutshell

REVVL is just launched in the market and its reviews are yet to come in the market. With the new phone, we will have to see how T-Mobile will achieve new heights.
